The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness, with the universe and all its powers. And, when they realize that at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that this center is really everywhere – it is within each of us.

A human being has so many skins inside, covering the depths of the heart. We know so many things, but we don't know ourselves! Why, thirty or forty skins or hides, as thick and hard
as an ox's or bear's, cover the Soul. Go into your
own ground and learn
to know yourself there.

Description of The Healing Way Method

by Jari Serra, B.S. and William Phipps, M.S.

The Healing Way Method is a system of healing.  It can also rightly be called a path of personal evolution whose main by-product is healing.  It has the same goals as counseling – improvement of emotional, mental and spiritual functioning – but the results are faster and more reliable.  It’s aimed at healing distorted beliefs, unconscious attitudes and automatic emotional responses; as well as enhancing our awareness of who we really are and our connection with the Divine.

Residing deep within each of us is a spiritual source of wisdom and knowledge far greater than our wakeful, conscious mind. Various cultures and teachings refer to this higher consciousness as the Spirit, Soul, Essence, Higher Self, Transcendental Self, God Self or Super-Consciousness.  This consciousness is the energy that animates us and contains our deepest intuitive and spiritual knowing.  It is virtually infinite in its capacity and holds the answers about why we are experiencing our difficulties and what we can do to resolve them.  It appears we all experience this consciousness in essentially the same way:  as a felt sense. It isn’t something we reason or figure out.  We simply experience it.

Western language struggles to describe this kind of wisdom because, outside of spiritual belief systems, little attention is given to it.  It is certainly not addressed in our traditional psychology or counseling systems.  Yet, accessing this consciousness can provide us with the greatest possible opportunity for growth, change, spiritual and self awareness, and personal evolution.

So how do we access this seemingly all-knowing level of consciousness?  Remarkably, it appears that it can be easily accessed through Applied Kinesiology, or muscle testing (see an explanation of muscle testing, and the practices needed to insure a high degree of accuracy, under Client Education).  In this way, simply by pushing on an arm, the body becomes the mouthpiece to communicate with your Highest Guidance and Deepest Wisdom.

The Healing Way Method uses a protocol (a set of structured procedures) briefly described below.  It includes a series of questions and statements, tested for yes or no answers, to guide the process.

  1. We create Sacred Healing Space in which to do our work.  This has been practiced by indigenous spiritual healers for millennia. For Healing Way, it is done with a mode of prayer combined with muscle testing.

  2. We find the Highest Priority Intention (HPI).  This is what you want to achieve or have different, your goal.  You may have ten or twenty of these in mind, but your highest guidance knows what is needed next. A given HPI might take one or two sessions to complete or it could take many.

  3. Determine the Healing Keys and any Non-Material Realm energies to be cleared. Healing Keys are attributes, characteristics, experiences, gifts, knowledge or blessings needed for you to reach your Highest Priority Intention.  Examples of these are Core Sense of Self Value, Mindful Action, Sense of Contribution, Divine Blessing and Healthy Boundaries.  Identifying the Healing Keys for a given HPI helps you know what aspect of yourself is being strengthened or restored, or what gift you are receiving.

Healing Way Method recognizes the existence and influence of Non-Material Realm (NMR) energies.  These are entities, beings or energies (previously referred to by such terms as demons, ghosts and curses) found in non-material realm dimensions such as the spirit world and astral realm.  Where needed, a quick and gentle form of exorcism is used to clear them.  Angelic Beings and other higher forms of Energies are called upon to help.

Though this may seem strange to modern-day Westerners, systems for removal of these energies have been common in many cultures for thousands of years.  It is only in the last few hundred years that this knowledge has been suppressed in industrialized societies.  They were originally used by shamans and medicine men and women and later adopted and changed by many groups – including the Catholic Church, which has a long history of using exorcisms and cleansings to remove these unwanted energies.  These NMR energies do serve our growth. They are with us to create obstacles which we must overcome in order to grow.  Generally, they intensify our negative mental and emotional states and hold them in to make us believe we cannot change them. Some of these energies are relatively weak and can be overcome simply by the strong intention of the individual to improve themselves.  Others are more powerful and can interfere significantly with the person’s efforts to change and heal.  If NMR energies are identified in the Healing Way Method protocol for releasement, it is because the client has grown and healed to the level where the interfering energies are no longer needed as a challenge for growth.

  4. Identify Stories which may be needed for the healing.  The purpose of a Story is to access a thought field (mental or emotional state or pattern) in order for an Intervention to have an impact. Stories may be actual or symbolic and from the past, present or even a dream.  The stories come from you.

  5. Identify and apply specific Interventions.  These are used to change the energy field.  Most of these are short, simple techniques.  Many involve tapping on the body (by you) or placing your hands over specific energy centers or chakras.  Other Interventions involve hand and eye movements, as found in Brain Gym; or light energy work similar to that of well-known authors Barbara Brennan and Donna Eden.  They may include drawing or even music.  The needed Intervention may be a clearing (exorcising) of some form on NMR energy.  This is done through a mode of prayer.

Once the thought field is accessed via the Story, the Intervention is done and the gift of the Healing Key is accessed.  This is akin to removing a block that has kept you from having a particular ability or attribute that is actually a part of your true nature. The Intervention releases the inner barrier to your natural gift, capability or inner knowing.

In its process, the Healing Way Method incorporates ancient knowledge of energy- and spirit-based healing found in Ancient Mystical Christianity, Eastern healing and indigenous peoples’ practices.  Although the various parts and methods used in the Healing Way Method have roots in many different teachings, they are woven together in a cohesive, elegant system for personal evolution and healing.  Such processes as the accessing of Stories, Non-Material Realm releasements, Interventions, and Soul Fragment Retrieval are relatively quick and easy.  Though stories of the past may arise and emotions may be experienced, Healing Way does not require or encourage getting bogged down in recounting past events or stuck in heavy emotional states.

Healing Way Method is based on certain basic premises:

  1. We are essentially an energetic field (Spirit) of different levels of consciousness, connected to a physical body.
  2. Everyone has a destiny, a destination and purpose for their life.
  3. We experience life events that imprint as traumatic memories (conscious and unconscious) in our physical bodies and energetic fields, creating disturbances that inhibit living our lives fully.
  4. An individual seeks help in order to take right action and feel more inner peace, to move into alignment with their destiny and relate in a new way to the experiences of life and the Divine.
  5. By experiencing life through a new set of lenses, we can establish new relationships with every aspect of our lives.
  6. The best and most lasting source of change for any person is usually from within the person, rather than from any outside source.

Healing Way is a powerful spiritual (energetic) system designed to assist individuals in moving toward the alignment mentioned above.  It is intention-based, meaning it uses your personal intention for change – what you want to have different in your life.  The intention is verbally stated and written.  This is a springboard for everything else that follows.  Based on the answers to the questions in the protocol, we can determine how to transform the situation and reach your intended goals for personal change and development.  The result is a series of noticeable shifts, dissolving rigid patterns of thinking and behaving, and releasing automatic mental and emotional responses. All the answers come from you, creating your own unique spiritual healing path and allowing you to blossom into your full potential.
